Michael Flisk, 46 & Stephen Peters, 44
Stephen Peters, a former CHA officer, called police just after noon after discovering that someone had broken into his Mustang GT in a garage at 8140 South Burnham Avenue on November 26th. Michael Flisk, Chicago police evidence technician, in uniform and driving a marked squad car, was dispatched about half an hour later. Peters' family said at some point he went in the home, retrieved his own handgun and went back to the garage. Residents said they heard gunshots about 1:30 p.m. Arriving minutes later, officers found Flisk and Peters lying in the alley mortally wounded.
