Brian Moore, 29


29-year-old Brian Moore died early on the morning of January 15th, less than a day after a friend drove him to a west suburban hospital when he was shot in the stomach at 5754 West Chicago Avenue in the Austin neighborhood at 8:20 p.m. He was declared dead at 6:49 a.m. at Stroger Hospital.

Wartonka Stevenson, 39


Wartonka Stevenson was declared dead 3 days after he was shot as he scuffled with several attackers who invaded his home at 7036 South Morgan Street in the Englewood neighborhood. The shooting happened about 3 p.m. on January 12th.

Erik Thompson, 21


21-year-old Erik Thompson was fatally shot late on the night of January 10th after he tried to break up an altercation between his aunt and her boyfriend. The shooting happened about 11:32 p.m. at 4134 West Wilcox Street in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the city's West Side. Reports said the aunt and her boyfriend were involved in an altercation inside a residence. When her nephew tried to break it up, the boyfriend shot him in the head. It is not clear if the couple were arguing or physically fighting. When police arrived, the Thompson was dead. The boyfriend fled after the shooting.

Derrick Ross, 22


Derrick Ross, 22, was shot at about 4:20 p.m. on January 9th while he was riding in a vehicle at 9226 South Ashland Avenue. Reports said someone pulled along side of Ross and fired several shots, striking him in the head.

Kirk Orellana, 23


Kirk Orellana, 23, was fatally shot in the neck at 3:30 a.m. on January 9th in the alley behind 2509 West 51st Street on the Southwest Side. He was pronounced dead at 4:11 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Derrick Dowdell, 40s


At about 9:25 p.m. on January 8th, police found Derrick Dowdell with multiple stab wounds on the first floor hallway of the building at 4343 South Michigan Avenue. He had stab wounds to his chest and shoulder.

Erika Greene, 40


Police found Erika Greene, 40, fatally shot inside a vehicle outside her South Side home. The vehicle was on a lawn, where it stopped after having struck a parked car. Greene, who lived at 8027 South Princeton Avenue, was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:20 p.m. on January 8th.

Larry Lee, 35


Area residents called 911 when they heard several gunshots. Police officers arrived at the scene to find 32-year-old Larry Lee dead on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds at 8644 South Constance Avenue. The shooting happened at about 6:30 p.m. on January 6th.

Brian Green, 23


The incident on January 4th that left 23-year-old Brian Green dead from a gunshot wound happened in the parking lot on the corner of Magnolia Street and Montrose Avenue in the city's Uptown neighborhood. Green was dead on the scene, while a female of an unknown age was wounded in the hand. The shooting appeared gang-related.

Michael Pope, 48


At 11:29 p.m., Michael Pope was stabbed in the abdomen in a residence in the 6712 South Halsted Street in the city's Englewood neighborhood. The stabbing occurred during a fight between Pope and a 19-year-old man whom he knew. The 19-year-old was arrested at the scene. Pope was pronounced dead at 1:33 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The homicide was recorded as the last of 2010.

Cesar Salgado, 34


Cesar Salgado, 34, was seated in the driver's seat of a vehicle talking with his girlfriend who was seated in the passenger's side when a man came up and opened fire. Salgado sustained gunshot wounds to his neck and chest at about 10:30 p.m. Paramedics found him in the car at about 10:43 p.m. After the shooting, the suspect ran west on Diversey before running south through a gangway. Salgado was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 11:38 p.m.

Ronald Gillerson, 49


Police were called to a halfway house in the South Deering neighborhood, where Ronald Gillerson was found about 8:30 p.m. on Devember 29th with apparent blunt force trauma to his head. Gillerson, a resident there, was fatally beaten by his roommate. The two men had an argument that escalated into a fight. Gillerson's roommate pushed him on to a coffee table and once he was down, grabbed what furniture he could find to beat Gillerson with, including a computer monitor and a coffee table leg. Witnesses told police that after Gillerson was unconscious on the floor his roommate put a butter knife in Gillerson's hand.

Delorean Daniel, 18


Delorean Daniel, 18, was on his way to his sister's home at 61st and Sacramento when about a dozen gunshots ring out. Just moments before Daniel was gunned down across the street from the sister's apartment, he called his twin brother Derrick to tell him he thought someone in a black Chevrolet was following him. Police said the shots came from an unknown vehicle. Daniel was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead on the scene. The incident happened at about 4:40 p.m. at 6103 South Sacramento Avenue.

Jacinto Crisanto, 22


22-year-old Jacinto Crisanto was shot while standing outside his home at 5706 South Mozart Street on the evening of December 26th. The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. Crisanto was pronounced dead at 12:25 a.m. at Stroger Hospital.

Vickie Myers, 57


At about 10:00 p.m. on December 26th, Vickie Myers' family called police to ask for a well-being check. When police arrived at her home at 9110 South Laflin Street, they found Myers dead with trauma to her facial, face down on the floor.

Varick Hines, 26


At 8:32 p.m. on December 20th, 26-year-old man Varick Hines was shot multiple times while in the street at 1511 South Ridgeway Avenue on the West Side. He was pronounced dead at 9:10 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Johnny Washington, 16


16-year-old Johnny Washington shot in the abdomen at 5:51 p.m. at 918 North Harding Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. He was pronounced dead 6:47 p.m. at Stroger Hospital.

Vernell Anderson, 23


At about 11:50 p.m., police responded to shots fired in the West Garfield Park neighborhood. Vernell Anderson, 23, was discovered on the sidewalk at 3849 West Flournoy Street with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was pronounced dead at 12:26 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Steven Billups, 26


Steven Billups was shot and killed at home at 4947 South Michigan Avenue. The 26-year-old was found dead at about 6:00p.m. in his apartment by a family member and a friend of the family. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. He had a gunshot wound to his head.

Kiley Murray, 38


Reports say Kiley Murray, 38, was walking to his house shortly after 9 p.m. on December 13th when a white vehicle pulled up and two male suspects jumped out. One of the suspects shot the Murray. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
