At 10:14 p.m. on December 30th, Jose Orozco, 29, was approached on foot by a gunman who opened fire. Orozco was with a female in the yard of 2811 South Archer Avenue in Bridgeport at the time. He sustained a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:56 p.m. His companion was not hurt.
