20-year-old Bryant Howse died on November 5th after being brought by a friend to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where he told officials he was shot at about about 4:40 p.m.on the sidewalk at 7000 South Emerald Avenue in the South Side's Gresham neighborhood. When police later checked out that area, they couldn't find any evidence that the crime had been committed there. Howse was transferred to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was pronounced dead at 6:26 p.m. He had known gang affiliations.
