Jerrod Benton, 22, was shot shortly after 10 p.m. on Halloween at 6954 South Wolcott Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood on the city's South Side. Officers responded to the scene and found Benton fatally shot with a head wound. Another man was shot in his back and also suffered a graze wound to his hip. Reports said one of the victims was arguing with someone, who pulled out a gun and started shooting, striking both men.
